Moral Quandary - Help Needed!

Is this ethical? Not legal, but ethical?

I would really like to do it, because I hate waste, and junk mail waste drives me crazy. As usual, I fret about the moral implications.

Please comment.

  • I don't know that I can offer any advice except about the spelling of "quandary."

  • I absolutely love this. The ethics of it? I figure they're asking for it. They are wasting resources and stealing time from your day with all of the junk mail.

  • angie, ya kill me, but he has it right...

I'll bet Poppers has some reeeeallllyyyy heavy stuff in the garage that would be a nice fit.

Bricks? Heck, since Waste Management won't come pick up old washers and dryers anymore, send 'em those.

  • I think it is wonderful. I don't know how else to get through to junk mailers, myself. They only speak money. The ethical part comes in what you send- no anthrax, no rotten stuff, don’t use it as toilet paper (I once read that it is not unusual for the IRS to receive a completed tax return that has been used that way before mailing)

Will this really change anything? Or will they just stop sending postage paid envelopes in the pile of crap they send? Plus, who has this kind of free time? I can think of 10 better things that I wish I found time to do.

    That said, I wholeheartedly approve.
